About Me
When I was a young lad, I ran away from the circus to become a(n)-  When I'm on the clock I am building Data Warehouses and filling them full of data. When there's time I help build web applications to access them. And there's always time to obsess about security and ponder e-Gov.
My off-hours are occupied with skiing or rock climbing with my family. I still meet my college buddies (class of '78) for a beer on Wednesday's. Once in a while I try to see how many things I can plug into my laptop.

Colophon
ttl is a common technical term for 'time to live'. In the computer world sessions or variables are given a specified time to live, then they're done. The same is true for us, with one small exception. We don't know exactly when the time is up, which is the spice of life, don't you think?
One can read the phrase 'time to live' in another way. Instead of going through life in our usual fashion, with the all-to-repetive regimens and habits, we can stop and go a different direction. We can live life with a greater intensity. Because it's time to live!
